Making a DIY Watercolor Block

Have you noticed that it is more expensive to buy a Watercolor Block? If you want a way to make a one with the supplies you will probably have at home keep reading.

Supplies You’ll Need

  1. Watercolor Paper
  2. 3 Binder Clip
  3. Hot Glue Gun
  4. Palette Knife
  5. Optional
    1. Long Ruler
    2. Pen and or Pencil
    3. Paper Cutter

If you want a Watercolor Block but it is more expensive than a regular Watercolor Pad make it yourself easily. It is an easy way to save a little bit of money and still have your own Watercolor Block. Measure the big watercolor paper to your desired size and make sure that you make them uniform. Now stack them and put your binder clips on three sides. Next use a black marker and mark the spot that you want to slide your Palette knife in to take it off. Now go around the pad and glue each size. Make sure that you keep that spot open so that you can slide your palette knife into the slot.
